'Harey Rama Harey Krishna', Mahesh Babu's supposed-to-be next film with producer MS Raju might have been shelved, but the young actor has got lot of things to look forward to with his new film, 'Athidi'.
The film has one of the hottest Bollywood heroines, Amritha Rao in the lead role.
Right now, the very final stages of shooting are on. In all probabilities, it will end in another few days. The film is going to be released on the 10th of October by UTV in association with Suresh Movies Distributions.
Though many have given up hope about 'HRHK', it is widely believed that the film might simply be postponed to sometime in next year, as soon as Trivikram Shrinivas gets over his sense of betrayal against the producer for using some of his scenes in 'Aata' without getting prior permission from the director.
His next film is going to be 'Mirchi'.
Mahesh acts in Raghavendra Rao's film
After making splashing debut in the direction of Raghavendra Rao, it's Mahesh turn to return the Guru Dakshina. Mahesh Babu is acting in a film to be produced by Raghavendra Rao in the direction of Sobhan Babu. This Sobhan Babu is a young talented director wannabe who worked as assistant to Ram Gopal Varma and Mahesh Babu. Incidentally he too assisted the dialogue work of the film Murari along with co-directing it. Being impressed with Sobhan's talent, Mahesh Babu gave a chance to him. For the first time, Mahesh Babu is acting with a debutant director. Mani Sharma is providing music for this film. Prasad does cinematography. Sobhan Babu would be providing dialogues and story for this film along with direction a la Poori Jagannath for Badri.
Mahesh Babu to celebrate birthday in Chennai
Mahesh Babu would be celebrating his birthday on 9th August along with his family members in Chennai. He is currently doing two films namely 'Baabee' and 'Okkadu' which are slated for release in September and December respectively. Mahesh Babu is taking care that there would be one film every three months henceforth. Next Mahesh Babu project is going to be VV Vinayak's film to be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. His future films include two films by home productions that are going to be directed by Surya and Trivikram respectively. Trivikram Srinivas and Arjuna Raju have a film each in the pipeline. Then comes a film is by Andhra Talkies (Krishna Vamsi) and JFC (Jayant C Paranjee). Chanti Addala of Friendly movies would be producing a film in the direction of Poori Jagannath
Mahesh Babu permitted to move bail plea 
T. Ch. Surya Rao, a judge of the High Court on Monday gave liberty to actor, Mahesh Babu, and director, Gunasekhar, to move an application for bail at Warangal.
It may be recalled that the duo was accused of assaulting some video shop owners at Warangal town on the ground that they were circulating pirated versions of latest Telugu film Arjun starring Mahesh Babu.
When the petition for anticipatory bail was filed the judge issued orders on Friday restraining the police from arresting the two till Monday.
When case came up for hearing today, the judge said the Mahesh Babu and Gunasekhar could seek appropriate relief before the magistrate
